Books help you travel to places
You might be hearing too much excitement in my voice during this episode but i was really excited to be able to talk to a self made publisher and writer as i am currently co-writing a book of my own with Nick Haines, The Story of Boxes, the Good, the Bad and the Ugly so please bear the enthusiasm.
Jaqui is a pleasure to talk to, she came from New Zealand after all :) And her profound knowledge about book writing is vast, i can't help delving into it more and more.
Jaqui also shared her advocacy in changing how the world perceive immigrants and Middle Easterns to be and she's doing that through book writing one book at a time.
Some great takeaways from Jaqui:
Books have the ability to transform people
Human beings are stories
People connect through stories
Be clear of your objectives in writing your book
Have a clear content outline before you start writing
Know who your target audience are and address their challenges to help them
